1st Dan Black belt through 9th dan
10th Dan is reserved as a place of honor, usually for the founder of a system or the deceased.
After
1st Dan we do not use stripes to identify rank. The belt you receive at
1st Dan will be the one you wear throughout all your other Dan grade
promotions.
